It’s funny how your body remembers things before your brain catches up.
Last week, I stepped back onto the volleyball court at the Philipstown Rec Center—the same gym I’ve played in on and off for the past 20 years. It was the usual Thursday night crew — although these days there’s a lot more young blood. The echo of sneakers on polished floors, the sound of balls slamming into forearms, and the low-key chaos that only rec league volleyball can bring. KERRY-SMASH was in full swing!
I hadn’t played in a while. Life, business, motherhood—you know how it goes.
